Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) believes in the healthy development of Kansas youth which includes preventing them from engaging in harmful behavior. By supporting the Regional Prevention Centers located throughout the state, SRS plays an active role in prevention. The centers provide technical assistance, training and resources, plans to address identified prevention needs, evidence-based strategies and evaluation of past efforts to community-based groups. Center staff also assist tobacco retailers with employee training and provide materials related to youth access to tobacco.
